Does anyone have any advice on transferring GPX(or TCX) files to the Edge 1000 without a USB cable please? I like to plan my routes in advance using Strava (or sometimes RideWithGPS) but often when I am away from home I do this on my iPad. Is there anyway to get this GPX/TCX file onto my Edge 1000 device without having to find a PC and connect with a USB cable to drag the file into the NewFiles folder please? Ok, here is a way to download GPX-files from the Internet and transfer it to the Edge1000 without laptop or PC: What you need is: -iPad -browser app 'iCab Mobile' on iPad -Kingston MobileLite-app on your iPad -Kingston MobileLite MLW221 wireless device (approx EUR 30,-) -Edge 1000 iCab-app is the only browser that allows to download all sort of files and open it in other apps. Garmin Connect App DownloadMobileLite is a wireless device where you can send GPX-files to from your iPad (iCab) Kingston MobileLite-app allows you to copy the file to Garmin NewFiles So - that's it. It works - I do it that way. Garmin Connect Mobile does the Job. Rkandroid rock usb driver. The easiest is if you plan the trip directly on connect, than you can send it to the device via bluetooth. Another possibility: 1) upload the file (previously saved on dropbox/onedrive/google drive) on garmin connect to the activities using the web-interface (not the app) 2) open the app, the new activity and save it as a course 3) send the course to the device via bluetooth This should work theoretically, I often have the problem that the gpx-file cannot be uploaded to garmin connect and sometimes it's not possible to send the course to the device, don't know yet the reasons of failure, it seems quite random to me. After downloading the GPX file using iCab it can be found in the Download-folder: Right upper - the circle with an arrow: Tap on that circle and a windows opens. Tap on the desired file and chose 'open in another app'. Garmin Gpx ConverterA window with some apps appear: chose MobileLite-App. (of course it is necessary to have that app on your iPad) After that the MobileLite app opens and shows the file stored in that app. Plug in your Edge to the MobileLite device, connect the device via its WIFI to the iPad and copy the file to the Garmin's NewFile folder.
